State Leadership Conference

BPA Members are given a valuable opportunity to enhance their leadership abilities, stimulate a culture for personal and professional growth, and improve their skills related to their pursued career.

Dates and Qualifications

Qualifications

In the Carroll ISD BPA, the qualifications for each event varies. For example, the Website Design Teams compete to win in their chapter, allowing them to advance to state. Another example is Financial Literacy, which has over 16 competitors but allows 8 people among all chapters to advance to state. 

Dates

The State Leadership Conference will take place on February 27th – March 5th at Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Carroll ISD BPA has shown excellence and success with various state finalists and champions to carry on to the NLC (National Leadership Conference). 

 

Advancement

To advance, you must earn a certain place for your specific event. For example, for the Carroll ISD Website Design Team, you must place in the top 3 to advance.

Competition

The Carroll BPA’s Middle School competitors only compete in one round of competition at the State Leadership Conference. The top 3 teams/competitors advance to the National Leadership Conference. For the High Schoolers, they also must place in the top 3 to advance to the NLC, but they go through two rounds of competition with a preliminary and final round.
